I am thinking about not reupping for LJ paid status. I like to post polls, but I am not sure what else I do that would make it worth it. I have a couple of weeks people out there either decide for me, or pay for my account so I don't have to think about it.

I have been going through my stuff and finding some neat stuff that I am going to get rid of, probably to a thrift store or garage sale. Everyone give me your address and you can sign up for cheap easy gifts from me! I saw something yesterday that Troy McClure would like, or not care about one way or the other. But, not hate for sure. And, before that I saw something that most everyone would love. So sign up!

Also. I just got a new cell phone! It's neat. I can take pictures and I can set pictures as caller ID. Clever.

Anyway. If you want to give my your number to add to the phone, or an address to send knick knacks (Paddy wack. Give a dog a bone.) to. Fill my box, baby.

Spiderman! SOON! And! I might be seeing it in a neat theatre in San Francisco. That is exciting!

My Valentinr - hokeypokey
Get your own valentinr

Anyone who is anyone will give me a valentines, you should to!

I am thinking of getting an external USB hard drive. You know. They are pretty cheap now, for even 250 gigs, they are as cheap as an internal one. That way the work I do on my laptop could be backuped regularly and easily. Much nicer to use than a DVD. We'll see. I am going to keep my eyes open for good deals.

Speaking of the laptop. While installing the stuff I need for work I found out that Microsoft has offered a C++ development environment for free, and it is far far better than the old version. There were some issues with how stuff worked in it that I had to update. But, for the most part it is an excellent piece of software. Man, it's going to make my job easier once I get used to using it. I am glad I happened to run across it. My work uses the microsoft stuff when writing stuff for Windows, so it is important to keep using it. And, I am glad to find that not only is this new thing free, but it is really well made. Visual C++ Express. In case you were wondering.

I got a new cookbook for my birthday called How To Cook Everything: The Basics simple recipes anyone can cook. It's pretty neat. Not so much for the recipes, but for the advice on how to buy things at the store. I am never sure how to tell when vegetables are good, or which piece of meat to buy. And, this book gives this advice. Also, tells how to properly chop things, and what certain cooking words mean, which I wasn't sure about.

Oh. Does anyone know of a program that will let you burn an MP3 cd with the tracks in order that you set them in? Basically, I guess I want to be able to copy Mp3s in order, and then have the software burn it to disc with a number in front of it or something so when I listen on the car stereo they play in order. I had a copy of Itunes a couple of years ago that did that, but I don't really care for that software and I would rather not use it if I don't have to. Anyone have any ideas?

Still doing lots of planning for the summer trip. Nothing is really figured out for certain yet, but it is getting there slowly but surely. And, that is fun! It's nice to have so many different options to choose from!

I had taken to responding to Personal Ad sites with "After reading your ad. One thing is clear to me. YOU COMPLETE ME. WBS!" This seemed like such a perfect plan. It hurts much less when someone rejects you based on lines from a Cameron Crow movie. And, when women did respond I knew right away that I wasn't interested. I mean, who in their right mind would respond to that. But, then I thought about it more. And, maybe they were responding because they thought I was being ironic. Maybe they were worth writing back to. I gnashed my teeth over all of those deleted emails. I drew romantic pictures of me undeleting the emails and finding ironic girl and going on a delightful cruise to the south seas. Once out to sea I find out that the boat was lead by pirates and the girl vanished in a poof of reality. Then I became a pirate and sailed the seas and sang songs and drank rum. Oh boy did I drink rum. Those pictures were fantastic intricate self contained stories on looseleaf paper. I decided the "YOU COMPLETE ME!" method was much too difficult. I stopped. Maybe, I will try out "YOU HAD ME AT HELLO" I hear that works really well.

I had a great time up in Santa Rosa this weekend. Thanks for all who were involved. I had my first corndog! It was good. Eating food on a stick is a great idea. I also had many many jello pudding pops. Which are also on a stick. And, I drank beer. Which was not on a stick. We went to the Sonoma County Fair. it was pretty neat. I liked the animals. Although, not enough to pay the buck to see the world's largest pig. Other people paid to see that. We also got to see a ton of Charlie Browns. That was really neat. I also liked the Charlie Brown Gift Shop. There was about a million things there I wanted to buy. Luckily, Vince was out in the car waiting for us so I didn't feel good about buying stuff and making him wait. He saved me money. Too bad, I didn't feel so bad at the candy shop were I bought about 123 pez dispensers. I also put candy in Shannon's purse. 5 finger discount!

Tonight I am going to see The Animation Show at UCSB with [livejournal.com profile] mays_rays. That should be fun. I used to make a yearly effort to see Spike and Mike when I lived in DC. Both, the sick and twisted and the standard animation show they would come through town with. But, after the first two years they started showing the same stuff every year. So, it became worthless to go back. From what i know about the Animation Show their lineup is a lot more varied.
