Well, Christmas time is almost here and that equates to spending lots of money. Ok, for most people thats on other people. Oh, well, I am selfish. Or, maybe SELFLESS Huh. No, I guess that does not fit. Anyway.

I have been following the stories of the One Laptop Per Child program for a while now. I think it is both a fantastic charity, and a really cool use of technology. So, it's with a mixture of curiousity and altruism that I look at the Give One Get One program. You buy one of their laptops to be doated to a child in a developing nation, and you have one shipped to you, along with year long complimentary access to TMobile's hot spots. So, I will get one laptop to play with and see how they do their really interesting minimalistic design, and one laptop will go to a developing county and hopefully help educate children.

Now, on a truly only selfish bent, I am also looking into buying a PSP, which is a hand held video game device. You can play games on the PSP, you can surf the internet, you can watch movies, you can show it off to friends and make them jealous that you can play games. Isn't all of that very cool? I haven't read any really bad reviews of the device, and a preponderance of the reviews (And every single review by people I know personally) have praised highly. So, I don't think I will regret the purchase. Aside from the fact that I don't love spending money as much as I should as an American.
