It must be the soothing music. Or maybe, it's all the food that is sitting there hinting of yummy things it can be done with them. Or, maybe it's just the working from home and getting overwhelmed by all of the sights, sounds, smells and cluck clucks of a modern grocery store. Whatever it is, I always fall in love there. Today's was great. I asked her how she picked out the yellow squash, because she really seemed to know what she was doing. She said she took the ones that were bright yellow, which sounded good to me. Also, she laughed when I asked which shows that I am 1) hilarious, and 2) Insanely good looking. And the best part is she was wearing this shirt. Even if she wasn't gorgeous, she would have been just because she was wearing that very awesome shirt. Of course, after our interesting squash, tshirt conversation I got shy and walked away. And, when I got home I wished I would have asked for her name, and her number and her address, and her favorite color. And, then I thought I could just go on Craig's List and post to Missed Connection and find out all of that. I am sure that works well for everyone who does. Then, I thought, why bother? I will just fall in love all over again the next time I go shopping. That is probably the most beautiful part of my personal futility.
Speaking of awesome tshirts. I should be getting mine in the mail sometime this week. I bought three tshirts from threadless when they were having a sale. They are all really cool and I cannot wait for them to get here. Monster as Friend, Bear as not Friend, and Bear who likes Reality Shows. I guess I could have put it up to a vote on which shirts I wanted. But, why bother? When do I listen to you people ever?
Speaking of food. I am making minestrone soup for dinner tonight. I have gotten pretty good at making this soup, and it is certain that our current weather calls for it. Also, while I was at the aforementioned market with pretty girls I got some bread that is really yummy. It's from Our Daily Bread.
Speaking of music. I haven't gotten any new music lately. But, I have been listening the hell out of this CD. I like it. Well, not the hell out of it. But, I have listened to it a bunch. It's twee, and fun.
A friend from college's husband just finished a novel. It's in a contest. Here is the link to the first chapter. I actually enjoyed it, mostly and gave it a 10. (Maybe, I would have given it a 7 if I hadn't known the people involved. But, that is neither here nor there!) But, everyone should go over and give high votes to improve his chances of winning.
I have been obsessed with the right wing's answer to Wikipedia lately. I haven't gotten an answer to what question Wikipedia was asking that it needed a right wing answer, but man the leaps of logic this site makes is enough for belly laughs. Or, perhaps sad shakes of the head. I don't know which is more appropriate. But, come on! Dinosaurs and men coexisting? Really? For real? I have trouble getting past that to take anything else they say seriously. But, just FYI, I think Jesus' 5th miracle involved a T-Rex, a Velociraptor, Elliot Gould and Jeff Goldblum.
And that's about it. Now, I need to go make dinner before it becomes too late to eat it. So, stuff it all you naysayers.
OH. Also? I saw a trailer for the new Spiderman movie. And, I cannot tell you how great it is going to be. Because, it is going to be better than I could even say. Better than you can even think. YAY! My spidey sense says I can't wait til may!
