Get your own valentinr
Anyone who is anyone will give me a valentines, you should to!
I am thinking of getting an external USB hard drive. You know. They are pretty cheap now, for even 250 gigs, they are as cheap as an internal one. That way the work I do on my laptop could be backuped regularly and easily. Much nicer to use than a DVD. We'll see. I am going to keep my eyes open for good deals.
Speaking of the laptop. While installing the stuff I need for work I found out that Microsoft has offered a C++ development environment for free, and it is far far better than the old version. There were some issues with how stuff worked in it that I had to update. But, for the most part it is an excellent piece of software. Man, it's going to make my job easier once I get used to using it. I am glad I happened to run across it. My work uses the microsoft stuff when writing stuff for Windows, so it is important to keep using it. And, I am glad to find that not only is this new thing free, but it is really well made. Visual C++ Express. In case you were wondering.
I got a new cookbook for my birthday called How To Cook Everything: The Basics simple recipes anyone can cook. It's pretty neat. Not so much for the recipes, but for the advice on how to buy things at the store. I am never sure how to tell when vegetables are good, or which piece of meat to buy. And, this book gives this advice. Also, tells how to properly chop things, and what certain cooking words mean, which I wasn't sure about.
Oh. Does anyone know of a program that will let you burn an MP3 cd with the tracks in order that you set them in? Basically, I guess I want to be able to copy Mp3s in order, and then have the software burn it to disc with a number in front of it or something so when I listen on the car stereo they play in order. I had a copy of Itunes a couple of years ago that did that, but I don't really care for that software and I would rather not use it if I don't have to. Anyone have any ideas?
Still doing lots of planning for the summer trip. Nothing is really figured out for certain yet, but it is getting there slowly but surely. And, that is fun! It's nice to have so many different options to choose from!
