I have been interested in developing for the iPhone since I bought one, but I never really wanted to buy a Mac, since I planned on heading back to CA and didn't want to add to the pile of stuff that I would have to move. Since, I am not moving, I have renewed my interest in the idea. I decided on getting an iMac at one point, but then I realized I could get a nice monitor and use it with both a PC and a Mac and wouldn't have to spend quite as much, so I started focusing on the Mac Mini. Then I decided to wait until the new ones came out. They came out last week. I'm housesitting now. But, when I get back home I want to get over to an Apple store fiddle with their mice to figure out which one I would use, and order the Mini from Amazon. I have pretty much decided to get the mid level machine, it's an extra 200 for discrete graphics, a faster processor, and more memory. I think that is worth it. So, that will be fun to play with and figure out a new world of development. The bad thing I have been reading about the new Mac Minis is that they lack an optical drive. I don't care much about that, but i do wish they had allowed the space taken up by no optical drive to be used by a second hdd. But, I don't know of any way a user can do that easily him or herself. Oh well. I'll still like the machine.

I've been house sitting the last few weeks. It's kind of lonely here. Especially, since I have no car and am kind of stuck here. But, it has been nice. I have to take the dog for lots of walks, so I have listened to plenty of comedy pod casts. And, I went in the pool and swam a few times. I haven't been able to do that since I had surgery. So, that was pretty fun.

I saw a horror movie called Let Me In the other day on Netflix streaming. Oh man it was so good. Next I will watch the original swedish version. And, then I will read the book. It's a mixed up topsy turvy crazy order. But, that's just the sort of world we are living in nowadays.

There are a bunch of movies in the theater I want to see, but I doubt I will see them all. Probably see Harry Potter, and Captain American eventually. I hope I get to see Cars 2 before it leaves. I loved Horrible Bosses and X-Men. The reviews for Green Lanter have been so horrid that I think I am going skip it. Which is really too bad, because I think Ryan Reynolds is pretty awesome. Speaking of which, I plan on seeing the movie with him and Jason Bateman. That looks great. I think it's called Change up. Oh. I'll also see Stupid Crazy Love.

I'm looking forward to seeing a friend from high school perform at a club downtown on Wednesday. I hope I feel up to going down there. His last show I missed becusae I wasn't feeling great. And, this one is going to be an extra pain to get to since i am house sitting. But, really, how many times will I have a chance to see someone I know perform on stage? Not many! So, I'll go. Even, if knowing means I hvaen't seen him in 20 years. That's ok. I still know of him.
