I had taken to responding to Personal Ad sites with "After reading your ad. One thing is clear to me. YOU COMPLETE ME. WBS!" This seemed like such a perfect plan. It hurts much less when someone rejects you based on lines from a Cameron Crow movie. And, when women did respond I knew right away that I wasn't interested. I mean, who in their right mind would respond to that. But, then I thought about it more. And, maybe they were responding because they thought I was being ironic. Maybe they were worth writing back to. I gnashed my teeth over all of those deleted emails. I drew romantic pictures of me undeleting the emails and finding ironic girl and going on a delightful cruise to the south seas. Once out to sea I find out that the boat was lead by pirates and the girl vanished in a poof of reality. Then I became a pirate and sailed the seas and sang songs and drank rum. Oh boy did I drink rum. Those pictures were fantastic intricate self contained stories on looseleaf paper. I decided the "YOU COMPLETE ME!" method was much too difficult. I stopped. Maybe, I will try out "YOU HAD ME AT HELLO" I hear that works really well.
I had a great time up in Santa Rosa this weekend. Thanks for all who were involved. I had my first corndog! It was good. Eating food on a stick is a great idea. I also had many many jello pudding pops. Which are also on a stick. And, I drank beer. Which was not on a stick. We went to the Sonoma County Fair. it was pretty neat. I liked the animals. Although, not enough to pay the buck to see the world's largest pig. Other people paid to see that. We also got to see a ton of Charlie Browns. That was really neat. I also liked the Charlie Brown Gift Shop. There was about a million things there I wanted to buy. Luckily, Vince was out in the car waiting for us so I didn't feel good about buying stuff and making him wait. He saved me money. Too bad, I didn't feel so bad at the candy shop were I bought about 123 pez dispensers. I also put candy in Shannon's purse. 5 finger discount!
Tonight I am going to see The Animation Show at UCSB with
mays_rays. That should be fun. I used to make a yearly effort to see Spike and Mike when I lived in DC. Both, the sick and twisted and the standard animation show they would come through town with. But, after the first two years they started showing the same stuff every year. So, it became worthless to go back. From what i know about the Animation Show their lineup is a lot more varied.

I laughed out loud at your You Complete Me idea! Usually, I don't even respond to people who message me at Okcupid. I mean, I'm really only signed up there for the quizzes to begin with. And my profile seems to attract very, very, um, odd people, who I have no desire to respond to even with a kind rejection and offer of friendship. I know I'm pretty odd myself, but I think it's in a good way. These people who message me just freak me out. o_O;;
As for responses to your response, well, we women can be delusional. We can read a positive response into the most neutral and/or negative comment if we like the guy enough. Wishful-thinking is a bitch!
The animation thing should be fun -- I've never been to a presentation like that before. There's this really awesome DVD of short anime flicks at Blockbuster. I think it's called Memories? We should watch that sometime. Quality stuff.

Also, if you need a pirate buddy, call me. And if you ever meet someone who you respond to with "you had me at hello", shake their left hand.
